Third, connect your bank account through our secure Stripe integration to receive payments directly. The process is invitation-based rather than marketplace-driven. You invite your existing customers to your NiceYard business account, where they can view and approve the seasonal services you offer. Once a customer approves a service, NiceYard's smart scheduling system automatically handles the scheduling of recurring visits based on the service type and seasonal requirements, removing the administrative burden of manual scheduling from both you and your customers.
NiceYard provides five default seasonal services that cover the full year: year-round lawn care for consistent maintenance, spring preparation to revitalize landscapes after winter, summer maintenance for peak growing season care, fall preparation including leaf removal and winterization, and winter protection services. Additionally, you have complete flexibility to create custom services tailored to your customers' specific needs, whether that's specialized plant care, irrigation management, or any other landscaping service you provide.
NiceYard does not require any additional insurance beyond what you already need for your landscaping business. You are required to maintain the same general liability and business insurance that any professional landscaper should carry. We recommend ensuring your existing coverage is adequate for your business operations, but no special NiceYard-specific insurance policies are necessary.
Pricing & Payments
NiceYard is completely free for landscapers. There are no setup fees, monthly subscription costs, listing fees, or hidden charges of any kind. You can create your account, invite customers, and start offering services without any upfront investment or ongoing platform fees.
NiceYard operates on a simple transaction-based model. We charge customers a $3 service fee each time they make a payment for completed work. This fee is completely separate from your payment—customers pay your full service amount plus the $3 NiceYard fee. This approach ensures our interests are aligned with yours: we only make money when you successfully complete work and get paid by your customers.
Yes, you have complete control over your pricing. NiceYard allows you to set your cost per visit fee for each service you offer, and 100% of your service fee goes directly to you. You can adjust pricing based on property size, service complexity, seasonal demands, or any other factors relevant to your business model. Your pricing, your business, your decision.
Payment is simple and automated. After completing a job, you request payment through the NiceYard platform, which automatically sends a secure payment request email to your customer. Your customer can then pay immediately using their preferred payment method through Stripe's secure payment processing. Payments are fast, secure, and processed with bank-level security standards.
NiceYard supports a comprehensive range of payment methods through Stripe integration, including ACH bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB.
